Launch the product first and then start the marketing, or the other way around?

You have a unique product or service and now it’s time to introduce this to your target group. But where should you start? And whos advice should you listen to?

From the many conversations we are having on a daily basis and the years of experience and knowledge we have as Leads International in international online marketing, we notice an ever-increasing difference between traditional companies and start-ups / scale ups.

Successful entrepreneurs of start-up and scale-ups are already busy with marketing activities before any product or service has been developed. For example, take AirBnB or Uber: they used marketing tools to further define the target group, to better map opportunities and challenges, and to make their product / service an even better match the ever changing needs of the consumer. That’s the difference between a start-up and a successful start-up. Because no matter how great you think your product / service is, it is more important how your customer perceives it. Is there a market? And if that market is there, you will also want to know if your product / service is so innovative and whether it meets the current needs of the customer. If you want to know all this, it’s also interesting to start marketing even before you’ve put something in the market.

In order to find out all this relevant information, there are a lot of tools available. These tools screen, monitor and instantly respond to customer needs to pursue a profitable campaign. You certainly want that too?
